But I find it fascinating.
Yep. I almost always sit through the credits when I go to the movies.
I have to say "almost always".
The increased discomfort of a "Senior Discount" beverage sometimes forces a quick exit.
Like last night when I raced the Bro-In-Law across the lobby.
Fortunately, we both won.
But I really enjoy watching the credits.
All those names, scrolling by as the music plays.
Just small, white letters on a black background, moving somewhat rapidly up the screen to disappear.
These are not names of the stars, directors, and producers.
Huh-uh, baby. Not those.
Those are the names that stay on the screen long enough for 4th grade dyslexic remedial readers to memorize.
AND those names get the same treatment at the end of the movie.
Definitely not like Athena and Angus.
Or
Mike
Marc
Jim
Skye
Adam
Linda
Bobbi
and Bob.
Their names go by so fast that Andy Warhol still owes them 14 minutes and 56 seconds of fame.
Little bitty parts of a great big project. Pretty much unknown.
But still.
It's pretty cool that it's up there.
Even if it's only for 4 seconds and only 3 people see it.
But . . .
Nowhere near as important as what's "Coming Soon To An Eternity Near You!".
Yeah. Really.
It'll be like the Final Credits at the End of Time.
And from what I understand, it's more of a book than a movie.
That's when the Producer/Director/Star of the Show will read the Credits.
Every one of them.
He'll be carefully and patiently looking for the names of those allowed to join Him in His gala "Apres-Time" party.
Like Athena and Angus.
And me.
And you.
