Whoa.
Talk about an Elixir-powered flashback, eh?
Today I start a new job. First time in 23 years.
I'm feeling the slightly-cardboard creasing of brand new jeans. I look down and scratch a broken-in pair of khakis.
Huh.
The Wife went out and got me a new lunch pail. It's a soft-sided, insulated cooler-type with a big, beautiful Packer "G" on the front.
Cool.
Would be a little cooler if they were playing this weekend, but cool, none the less.
Wha...
Just for a moment it becomes a rectangle of molded sheet metal with a bright red, hard plastic handle.
I look wide-eyed at the stamped image of Roy Rogers leaning over the flowing palomino mane of a galloping Trigger, six-gun blazing, a look of determination on his face.
Whoooooo-baby!
Then, just as quickly, it becomes the Packer lunch tote.
Huh.
A quick cup of the Elixir and it's time to go.
I walk outside and stop transfixed on the sidewalk.
There sits a big yellow school bus. As the doors start to open it turns into a minivan covered with light snow and frost.
(Yep. Still could use a garage.)
Shaking my head, I can't help but grin.
Let the adventure begin.
