Proverbs 14.7 pipes up to muddle my morning:
"Leave the presence of a fool
or you will not discern
words of knowledge."
Hey, I say to myself (and God), I don't hang out with idiots.
Then I remember the three hours last night with prime time TV.
And the DVDs I've watched in the last month.
And the books I've read "for fun"
over the last year.
Yep. Lotsa times I was hanging out with morons. A bunch a times with the muddle-minded majority, ("It's not that bad- and it's relevant!").
A Chinese proverb comes to mind.
"If you lie down with dogs
you will get up with fleas."
I guess I'm just feelin' itchy.
