It'll be coming out in a couple of weeks. Might take a bit longer to make its way through the woods to get up here. But it's coming.
Dwarves, hobbits, elves, large racing bunnies, Gandalf, and lumpy bad-guy trolls.
All living in fantastic worlds that I am gonna stroll through with a big bucket of buttered, salted popcorn and a high-fructose laden beverage.
The blog is eye-opening. What an incredible glimpse into what it takes to make something epic in
the its detailing and its immensity.
Just think of everything needed to put this spectacular story on the big screen.
Three years in the making. Millions of dollars.
Thousands of days.
Hundreds of people.
Wow.
When folks all get on the same page, incredible things happen.
And hopefully that's a good thing.
I grab another cup of Elixir and run through the movie trailer again. Incredible.
Huh.
Other things pop into mind.
Victory gardens, rationing, war bonds, and WWII.
People getting nicer, drawing a little closer, all because of Christmas.
And a Bible story . . .
I remember reading about everyone getting together to build a tower to Heaven.
A pretty big project of pretty epic proportions.
They were all on the same page, all spoke the same language.
But the reason they wanted to do it was wrong.
And God loved 'em too much to let it happen. Kabaashed the whole thing.
" If as one people speaking the same language they have begun to so this, then nothing they plan to do will be impossible for them."
God's words.
Wow. And wow.
I wonder what would happen to the world if we let God bring us together and we all got on the same page.
What colossally impossible feat could we accomplish?
The impossible being possible - just by "speaking the same language" and having the same heart and purpose as God.
Now that would make a great movie, eh?
