Well, it's not for everybody.
Most people are smarter than this.
But not us.
We live in the Northwoods.
In winter.
Yeah. Genius.
Another below 0 morning.
-26.
Almost everybody is wearing a T-shirt,their regular shirt a sweater and two pair of dress socks, if you have to wear nice shoes.
Phlegm the Taurus has had a hard go of it.
Leave me outside all night and I guess I would too.
Phlegm's mileage has dropped 30% due to 1/2 hour warm ups.
My consumption of the Elixir of Knowledge has increased 30% due to 1/2 warm ups.
Doesn't it seem sometimes that life has been set on the "This Sucks" setting?
And it doesn't seem like it's gonna change anytime soon.
That's what this winter seems like.
It's giving a whole new meaning to "permafrost".
It helps me to realize that there are some constants.
Some absolutes I can count on.
The sun will rise.
The night will leave.
He still loves me.
His word is still true.
It will get warmer.
Summer is coming.
Last year it was on a Wednesday. But it got here.
I think that's why the Israelites had Stones of Remembrance plopped all over the Promised Land.
So they remembered the good things, the mighty things that He did.
A good idea.
So I went to a drawer, found the most colorful summer shirt I have, grabbed my swimsuit, and hung them up the closet.
Right by the flannel shirts, sweaters, and wool pants.
A Hangar of Remembrance.
Yeah.
Summer is coming.
Just not quite yet.
