Yeah, that's right.
Football is America's Game -
played outside, preferably at Lambeau Field - not "It's-raining-I-gotta-go-inside" baseball.
(Sorry. I gotta thing 'bout that.)
Anyway, these young guys have seen all those years of dedication and focus payoff. And some are getting paid very well to play a game they began in 3rd Grade.
They're talking to their agents about 7-digit deals and I'm drinking the Elixir, reading about all this with just a bit of jealousy.
Man, I would love to have someone want me that much they'd pay me that kinda cash to be on their team.
Then it hits me.
Right in the helmet.
Well, duh.
I've been drafted by the N&FL.
That's the Now & Forever League.
The Commissioner of the League is
the Owner and General Manager of the winning team.
And His Son is the All-Star Coach who played the Game exactly right. Exactly perfect.
The only One who has or will.
And He wants me for His team.
Oh, mama.
Hey, look! He wants you, too.
Don't worry.
He'll play through us, so we'll do things we couldn't possibly do.
Making the plays we can't pull off.
But He can.
Doin' amazing things.
All-Star things.
All because of Him.
Hey, we get to play every day.
In every type of weather.
In every condition.
AND WE GET TO WIN!
And the pay is outta this world.
So -
Say what, Coach?
Psst.
C'mon, grab your helmet.
He' puttin' us in!
